As promised in an earlier post, here are some photo’s that I took at the wonderful Gnome Reserve, near Bradworthy, North Devon.
It’s in the middle of nowhere, and it seems like you are driving down endless west-country lanes but stick with it, trust your sat-nav, and eventually you’ll find it.
It’s very kitsch, terribly British, and a whole lot of fun. Entry prices are very reasonable, well behaved dogs are allowed (above), and you get to borrow a jaunty felt gnome hat (loaned free-of-charge) for the duration of your visit – whats not to like?!
The Gnome Reserve (along with the adjoining Wildflower Garden) is well worth the trip, as long as you make the effort to don the gnome hat as you look around – all part of the experience!
