Some images of street art that I shot this weekend in South Acton. A couple of the paintings (Grey Partridge [above] and Snipe [below]) were created by artist ATM as part of his series highlighting the plight of British birds threatened with extinction.
Snipe, an early piece, was part of the Acton Community Forum’s project to bring art back to the South Acton Estate. The snaps really don’t do these stunning works any justice, so be sure to go see them in the flesh, and appreciate them in the environment where they are intended to be seen.
The Estate itself is going through somewhat of a transition, as some of the older buildings are being levelled to make way for new, thereby offering an interesting contrast of architectural styles.
Photographs shot on Fuji Xpro1.
